We are recruiting for a Social Media Specialist to manage and drive the production of engaging social content and oversee the day-to-day management of social media channels for major marketing campaigns. You will provide specialist advice on social media options to meet corporate objectives, ensuring all activity is delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with the needs of the tourism industry.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Support the implementation of social media strategies by managing day-to-day publishing, scheduling, and content optimisation across multiple platforms

  • Lead the planning and maintenance of content calendars across channels to ensure timely delivery and stakeholder approval

  • Manage briefs and liaise with creative teams, external agencies, and freelance creators to deliver high-quality visual and written assets

  • Monitor and report on content performance using analytics tools, providing insights to inform future engagement strategies

  • Contribute to community management efforts, including developing responses and managing reputational risk through proactive social listening

  • Work across marketing teams and business units to ensure social content is integrated with broader campaign goals

Key Challenges

  • Simultaneously managing multiple channels and projects under high pressure while adhering to strict deadlines and budgets

  • Educating internal and external stakeholders on the benefits of adhering to platform best practices

  • Staying up to date with rapidly evolving digital and social media trends to recommend relevant opportunities for the agency

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience supporting social media activity across major platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube) for brands with large-scale audiences

  • Demonstrated ability to use social media management tools such as Sprinklr and Meta Business Suite

  • Strong understanding of audience engagement techniques and best practices in social media crisis management

  • Familiarity with interpreting platform insights to evaluate performance and inform planning

  • Experience following brand, legal, and governance frameworks within a regulated or publicly accountable environment

  • Tertiary qualifications in digital and/or social media marketing or a relevant field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Strong Microsoft Office capability (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
